Natsu Matsuri – 夏まつり – is held yearly at the Japanese Primary School (Changi) Campus, and this year is the first time I’ve been to such a festival.

Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay

The Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay is a waterside building located on six hectares of waterfront land alongside Marina Bay near the mouth of the Singapore River, purpose-built to be the centre for performing arts for the island nation of Singapore. Taking its name from the nearby Esplanade, it contains a 1,600 seat concert hall and a 2,000 seat theatre for the performing arts.

Singapore's 2nd Integrated Resort + Casino: Marina Bay Sands

1 week into the “A Photo a Day Challenge thing”. The photo for today is Singapore’s 2nd integrated resort + casino (the first is located at Sentosa), Marina Bay Sands. Quite and architectural feat I must say.

It is currently in the midst of construction. When completed, the integrated resort will feature 963 hotel rooms, part of a shopping mall and convention centre, 6 celebrity-chef restaurants, dining outlets, a casino and even a museum!

Queenstown/ Queensway area

Queenstown is one of the early housing estates in Singapore, built before Toa Payoh and Ang Mo Kio, and was a test bed for much of Singapore’s public housing.
